Former South Alabama safety Keith Gallmon will play a seventh season of college football on the FCS level at Austin Peay, he announced Thursday. Gallmon, a former Mobile Christian School standout, missed the entire 2022 season and all but two games in 2023 with separate torn pectoral muscles. Gallmon originally signed with South Alabama under coach Steve Campbell in 2018, and played extensively as a true freshman. The 5-foot-9, 202-pound Gallmon missed all of 2022 when he tore a pectoral muscle during a preseason scrimmage.
