Rutgers basketball adds local NCAA Tournament team to non-conference slate

One of Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey's first home games at Rutgers will come against one of the two programs in the New York/New Jersey area that reached the NCAA Tournament last season. The Scarlet Knights are set to host Wagner at Jersey Mike's Arena on Wednesday, November 6th, a person with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media. It is unclear if the contest will be Rutgers' season opener but considering the 2024-25 season officially tips off two days earlier on Monday, November 4th, it is a possibility. The contest is the latest addition to the Scarlet Knights' non-conference schedule, which is close to completion.
