The Phillies had to lean on their bullpen following Taijuan Walker's 4th inning exit, resulting in an 11 inning loss Thursday night.
Even though they've been one of the few weaknesses into the season, Phillies relievers continue to believe they can help their ball club win games.
The plan, as explained to Spencer Turnbull, called for Cristopher Sánchez to face the Blue Jays' batting order twice before exiting stage left. One problem: Sánchez pitched too well. Turnbull still got in his work, just not as much as everyone had hoped, in a 10-1 knee-slapper, the Phillies' seventh win in a row.
